FISHING BOAT MODS and HACKS • Best JON Boat for BEGINNERS? This boat definitely jumped out to me. • When I purchased it, the previous owner had already added the floor, raised the transom to accommodate a larger motor and added the console shell. • As I FISH for STURGEON on the FRASER RIVER, I wanted a boat big enough to handle the changing river conditions on the Fraser, but also a boat small enough to have access to all the other beautiful lakes and rivers in the Fraser Valley, BC. • I wanted to be able to easily access the VEDDER RIVER, VEDDER CANAL and SUMAS RIVER, so I could also target TROUT, COHO SALMON, PINK SALMON, CHUM, CHINOOK, KING and SPRING SALMON. • This is an ALWELD FLAT BOTTOM boat, I believe a 1652. • It has been TUNNELED to accommodate an OUTBOARD JET motor and I currently use an EVINRUDE E-TEC 90/60 2-STROKE OUTBOARD JET MOTOR. • The BOAT MODS have continued. • The first thing were CUPHOLDERS….always essential. • Then I raised the seats a little, added a FRONT CASTING DECK and REAR CASTING DECK, that open to allow for extra storage. • Moved the Battery and fuel to the front of the boat to help with stabilization and REWIRED the BOAT to add FISH FINDERS, BATTERY MONITORS, LIGHTS, BILGE PUMP and a HORN…a DUKES OF HAZZARD AIR HORN. • I will keep you up to date with additional mods I complete to make this the ULTIMATE FISHING JON JET BOAT! • My hobby is fishing and how to make FISHING EASIER. • ESSENTIAL JON BOAT MODIFICATIONS and JET BOAT MODIFICATIONS. • Boat accessories you need and products that will help you CATCH MORE FISH.. • • Real Time, New impeller on my Evinrude 90 outboard. better pitch, sanded and shimmed.
