I had been wanting a table saw as that is one of the major tools I did not yet have for my workshop. The saw I bought was the 36 Sawstop contractor saw. Since I do have a small workshop area in our garage, I wanted a mobile base that had the ability for all four wheels to move in all directions vs two single direction and 2 multi-direction (like the standard sawstop mobile base is limited to moving). However I did not want to spend the $300-400 that the fancier industrial Sawstop base would cost that had all four wheels fully mobile in all directions. • So I decided to make my own mobile base in a similar fashion as the base I designed and built for the carving workbench. Due to using extra scrap wood and other hardware i already had, the overall cost was probably less than half of the basic Sawstop mobile base, and yet has all four wheels with full mobility. • Considering all the adjustments I had to make to the caving bench design to work with the Sawstop frame attachment points, it went really well. I am also happy that it only took two days to design and build. Now I am one step closer to working on projects vs shop furniture. :) • Here are two related more details build type videos that I also made on it: •    • Sawstop Contractor saw custom mobile ...   •    • Sawstop Contractor saw custom mobile ...   • Between these three, there should be enough information and explanation for you to build your own.
