Ride along with us as we climb the Otay Mountain Truck Trail and explore some forgotten WWII era bunkers at Camp Minnewawa. (April 7, 2018) • Not much is published about the bunkers, what we could find states that during WWII, the U.S. built gun emplacements, lookouts and bunkers along Otay Truck Trail in anticipation of a Japanese invasion (from Mexico). • http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM... • There are a number of off-shoot trails and a few different entry/exit points, we'll have to go back to explore more... • This is not a difficult trail, our Subaru Outback is on stock suspension with upgraded stock size tires. The trail does climb and have significant exposure to steep slopes.
