What is the correct pronunciation of his name? You often hear either Genguis Khan or Genguis Kahn, which one is correct. There is a great video explaining it all in detail made by someone specialized in Mongol History which I’ll link to at the end of the video if you want to learn more, but the short story is that the pronunciation that is closer to the original Mongol pronunciation is Genghis Khan, later in History, the pronunciation Genghis Khan has been adopted and became prevalent in the English language. This is why both pronunciations are correct. If you want to sound a little closer to the original pronunciation of the name, the way people around Genghis would have called him, say Genghis Khan, but it is fine in English to say Genghis Khan.
