I live in the State of Texas and Texas has a plethora of wildflowers. I know, I know, every state has a lot of native flowers, however, Texas being as large as it is and having many distinct geological areas (coastal, South plains, grand prairies, hill country, mountainous, piney wooded area, high plains), there are many more types of native flowers due to the varied soils in those different areas. Bluebonnets do not grow all over the State naturally. If they are found up in the panhandle or in the big bend area, they were planted deliberately by the State. I am choosing the flowers that grow natively in my area that I was able to dry. I really love these flowers. I used 2 different resins in this piece, #NakedFusionResin (art resin) and #unicone_art (deep pour). The NakedFusion resin was used as the base area and the Unicone Art resin deep pour resin was used in the layers where the flowers are located. The deep pour resins release bubbles easier than art resins due to the thinner viscosity. NakedFusion resin used is a 1:1 resin where the Unicone_art resin is a 2:1 resin.
