WYE VALLEY AND FOREST OF DEAN WALK FEATURING CHEPSTOW, CHEPSTOW CASTLE, OFFA’S DYKE PATH, LANCAUT AND WINTOUR'S LEAP • Chepstow, Lancaut and Wintour's Leap” • Filmed 22nd March 2018 • Post-production completed 13th April 2018 • It gives me great pleasure to present the first film of 2018 and of the 25th anniversary celebrations! • We go right back to the beginning of “The Solitary Rambler” as this film takes place in Chepstow, originally featured in three of the first four films, i.e. the “Pilot Episode”, “The Old Barn Lane” and “Escape Through the Valley to Tranquillity”. Many of the town’s locations shown in those earlier films are seen again here, but filmed in my current style of filmmaking. Returning to Chepstow was always part of my plans for the 25th anniversary celebrations and now I have been able to shoot it in glorious HD! • I was going to name this film “Childhood in Chepstow”, but I have now decided to do away with the alliterative film titles that I have been continually using since Confrontations in Cannop . Therefore, the name of this film is “Chepstow, Lancaut and Wintour's Leap”, a much more “sensible” title. As of now I have also stopped using my pseudonyms in the film credits as I want it to be clear that these films are solely my own work. • So to begin the 25th anniversary celebrations I am very pleased to make available online “Chepstow, Lancaut and Wintour's Leap”. • Filmed in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean District in the counties of Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire. Locations include Chepstow, the Dell, Chepstow Castle, Lancaut and Wintour’s Leap. This is the first in a series of films in 2018 celebrating 25 years of “The Solitary Rambler”. • Written, researched, directed, camera and sound, edited and music by Patrick Leach. • Click here for a map showing the route of the walk: https://explore.osmaps.com/route/3148... • Click here for the location on Google Maps where I parked for this walk: https://maps.app.goo.gl/FbYCzCYdwQMmp... • The Solitary Rambler is my series of amateur films of my journeys in the countryside accompanied by my own musical scores, which I compose and perform on my Yamaha keyboard. • Please note that, as with all the films I make, this is not actually intended to be an extensive guide to the area. This is a mini-movie of my personal journey along the walk, in which I often share some of my own personal stories. • If you are new to my channel, I strongly recommend reading the description under the “about” tab, which will provide a clearer understanding of what to expect in my films:    / solitaryrambler   • There is also a short “Introduction to the Solitary Rambler” video, which briefly explains what my films are all about:    / solitaryrambler   • DISCLAIMER: Although I work hard to ensure all information is correct to the best of my knowledge, I am only featuring information I have found online and/or in books during my research when putting this film together, so I cannot guarantee that there are no mistakes or errors. • Many thanks and I hope you enjoy watching! • IF YOU ENJOY MY CHANNEL THEN PERHAPS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT ME: • For a small fee you can download any of my musical soundtracks I have composed for my films: https://patrickleach.bandcamp.com/tra... • Or if you would like to make a small donation with no obligations then you can do so through Buy Me a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/solitaryrambler
