This animation depicts a posterior lumbar fusion and instrumentation at L3-S1. An incision is made at the posterior lumbar spine, exposing the L3-S1 vertebrae. A laminectomy and facetectomy are performed and pedicle pilot holes are drilled. A discectomy is performed and cages with iliac bone graft are placed into the disc spaces.
