Long-acting injectable (LAI) delivery methods have proven to be beneficial for a range of drug types and situations, including CNS drugs (patient adherence), hormone therapy for oncology, women and men health and HIV to name a few. Certara has developed a mechanistic PLGA polymer-based model for assessing drug distribution and performance of these formulations.
