$72 Million Amazing Historic Mega Mansion in the Hamptons Built in 1890 • Visit Our Website for More Luxury Architecture: https://www.luxury-architecture.net • 51 Halsey Lane, Water Mill, New York • 11 Beds 14 Baths 20,000 Sqft • Villa Maria, This Hamptons estate is on the waterfront along the Montauk Highway in Water Mill, Southampton. • The house was originally built in the 1890's, as a private residence, was extensively renovated and added onto in 1918, and was used as a convent since the 1940's. • Later they would return it back to a private estate. • By removing additions that had been built from the 1950's through the 1980's, and adding a new wing in keeping with the original structure, the house now has an overall balance and consistency. • They added a loggia which connects the main house to a new carriage house, containing guest quarters on the second floor. • The landscape was completely reconfigured, with a new tennis court, pool, gardens, and pool houses.
