Fred Shuttlesworth, Sr., founder of Greater New Light Baptist Church and a pioneering and influential leader in Birmingham, Alabama's Civil Rights Movement. Harold Bester was Shuttlesworth's son-in-law. • Rev. Raymond Cook and Rev. Harold Bester were associate pastors at Greater New Light.
