Looking at 4 different builds today, and why the weapon is actually pretty decent, but is still a let down. Galeforce Dawn is basically Butcher's Revelry 2.0. This time off, the weapon is actually pretty decent, and reminds me more of Tenet Livia's case rather than Ghoulsaw since the weapon isn't a meme. Hespar has solid hybrid stats at 24% crit, 2.2 CD and 28% status. This is more than enough to make it a potential powerhouse in a new archetype. • Unfortunately, Galeforce Dawn has some of the clunkiest after Ghoulsaw's stance combos, with some of the actual lowest normalized damage%/s in the game, as well as prohibitively long combos (one being 4.9s base) and also feeling clunky more often than not. It's not all bad, as some parts of the combos actually feel nice, but it seems there was too much unnecessary flourish added into Galeforce Dawn instead of being practical, as well as a lack of sufficient proper horizontal sweeps; most are filled with verticals or diagonals. The weapon is 48% slash, making it a perfect candidate for Carnis Mandible. Unfortunately, while it basically is the poster child of 40-60% slash weight for Carnis, this does also eat up a mod slot. Normally this is ok, but the loss of a slot is exacerbated by a stance with very low multipliers, few force bleeds and clunkiness. Hespar deserves better, but we can only hope, because Wise Razor and Butcher's Revelry still remain untouched. • If you have any questions, feel free to ask. • __________________________________________________________ • / aznvasions • I now also stream on Twitch!
