A 30m video to supplement our ECG laboratory in Anatomy and Physiology II at Kirkwood Community College. In this lab, we follow the outline established by the ecglibrary (www.ecglibrary.com) to determine if our ECGs are normal. This, essentially, involves excluding any abnormalities. In this video, I attempt to explain in a simple way (for pre-health majors) how changes in the ECG, from sinus rhythm, QRS axis, P wave, PR interval, QRS complex, QT interval, ST and T waves, can indicate heart malfunction. • A copy of the diagrams used in this video can be downloaded at • http://www.kirkwood.edu/pdf/uploaded/... • I greatly apologize for the poor audio and video quality. When you have young kids, money is better spent on them than on AV equipment. I will improve this video when I can get some better equipment. Till then, I still hope it is beneficial.
