Jetcat P80 SE Turbine

A short film showing the construction and testing of a custom made running rig for a Jetcat P80 SE. The running video starts at 1:40 • • It is all constructed from 2mm aluminium, carbon fibre and perspex, using many very small custom nuts, bolts, grommets, o-rings and washers ordered from modelfixings.co.uk. Most of the brackets and clamps are custom made, as are the fuel tank, control module, filter and propane tank mounts. The ECU module mount is off the shelf as is the I/O board mount. The whole thing is mounted on 30mm custom cut clear Perspex which offers real weight and fuel resistance. It is painted on the underside using acrylic paint with an enamel top coat for protection. Finding the right colour to match the engine intake cowl was a challenge! • • Starting is by standard Jetcat propane and solenoid system but may be converted to kerosene start soon!
