But it's back with the fangame, ZX Prequel: Light Dark. Being a prequel, naturally it takes place before the original ZX. Here we have two new protagonists. We have Nett, the Model X Chosen One, and Elf, the Model Z Chosen One. We will be covering both of their stories, but Elf will be done first. So let's get started with our female protagonist, who wakes up in a forest. She has no idea who or where she is, or why the atmosphere is so deadly where she is. Nor does Model Z, who just so happens to be next to her, know anything about her. But before she can wonder anything else, she is attacked. And has to Megamerge with Model Z in order to defend herself. • After she does, a quake happens and she ends up in the regular forest. Good ol' Area A. Everything here is about the same as we remember it, except for the virus going around. Unlike the virus in X5, this virus only goes after enemies, and it makes them stronger. Some enemies gain barriers from the infection, and will require a powerful attack to dispel it. Going further in leads us to a door to Cyberspace, and here is where we meet the main focus of the game. See, Cyberspace has somehow been corrupted by the virus going around. Everything is dark, the atmosphere can kill you if you're outside these auras scattered around for too long, and all the enemies are boosted like they are when infected with the virus.
