Blubberhouses Bypass Progress August 14th 2024

The next exciting instalment of the Progress of the Bypass at Blubberhouses - over Kex Gill between Harrogate and Skipton. The form and trajectory of the roadbed is taking shape, becoming well-defined in the middle section. The top reaches an abrupt stop, but you can see where it will rejoin the existing A59 at West End road. There's a lot of mystical drainage work going on at the Blubberhouses-Fewston Reservoir end. It looks like they are building a culvert to straighten out Hall Beck, but this is lower down than the Bypass-A59 divergence point. I wonder what that is about?
