Demonstrating a functional true ornithopter • Update, workshop link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile... • Update, General: • To those of you youtube brought here at random, I have no idea why Youtube decided it likes this video so much, but to answer a few questions: • -The game is Stormworks: • https://store.steampowered.com/app/57... • Despite some optimization problems I recommend it very highly, particularly to those of you who, like me, are looking for something to scratch that old Garry's Mod itch. • -The design of ornithopters in Stormworks: • Check some of my other videos for progress I've made in the technology since this one. Later models are capable of VTOL and eliminate the shake and nose-over tendencies seen in this design. If you are interested in attempting to build an ornithopter in Stormworks, I recommend looking at my Miraposa design over this one. It is better balanced and considerably more stable to fly than this one, while retaining a similar size and complexity.
