Welcome to our YouTube Channel Demystifying Science, In this Video you will learn about a medical procedure called tooth extraction with the help of 3d animations. • Here is the detail about tooth extraction • Tooth extraction is a dental procedure where a dental surgeon uses forceps to remove a damaged or painful tooth from its socket. • This procedure is recommended for people whose teeth cannot be treated through other means, making tooth extraction the best solution in such cases. Conditions that may lead to tooth extraction include severe tooth decay, overcrowding of teeth and weakening of a tooth due to gum disease. • Let's see how the tooth extraction procedure is done: • Before the extraction, the dentist reviews your medical history to check for any infections or possible excessive bleeding after the tooth removal. They often give antibiotics to reduce infection risks. Then, local anesthesia is applied to your mouth to ensure you won't feel pain during the procedure. • Using forceps, the dentist gently moves the infected tooth back and forth until it's loose from the socket. Then, they pull it out. • After the tooth is removed, a blood clot naturally forms in the gums. The dentist places gauze or a cotton, over the socket to help stop bleeding and instructs you to bite down gently to aid clot formation. • Sometimes, in cases where there's a risk of heavy bleeding, the dentist may stitch the socket closed. • After the procedure, you're sent home. Within about 4 to 5 hours, bleeding from the socket generally stops completely, and the wound usually heals within a few days. To speed up healing, medications and rinsing your mouth with salty water are recommended. • Once the wound has fully healed, artificial teeth can be placed over the socket if needed. • Thanks for watching. • #ToothExtraction • #OralSurgery • #DentalCare • #Dentistry • #OralHealth • #ToothRemoval • #WisdomTeeth • #DentalProcedure • #ToothPain • #DentalHealth • #OralCare • #ToothSurgery • #DentalExtraction • #DentalClinic • #Dentist • #Toothache • #OralSurgeon • #ExtractionProcedure • #ToothLoss • #TeethHealth
