Rotating NeoCube Buckyball -- • • I made this compound Buckyball according to the excellent instructions -- • Neo Magnet Buckyball -- from shield400. • I added a sphere to the center of each pentagon and used the remaining spheres to form a chain. The magnets are so powerful, the weight of all 216 spheres is easily supported by attaching the end of the chain to the edge of a metal lamp shade. Rotation is achieved by passing a ceramic ring magnet near the hanging ball. Note -- the added spheres actually turn this PSEUDO-Buckyball into an icosahedron.
