In 1941 the Union Pacific built 25 Big Boy locomotives, the largest steam locomotives ever built. The Union Pacific maintains a fleet of steam locomotives for special events and preserving their history, and now the Union Pacific Railroad is going to restore a Big Boy locomotive! #4014 is heading home to it's former home in Cheyenne Wyoming where the Union Pacific has their steam shops, and where over the next five years, it will be totally rebuilt.
