0:00 Offertoire (Boëllmann) • 6:36 Noël Parisien (Quef) • The noël is as ubiquitous in French music for the holiday season as the chorale tune is in German music, and there are hundreds of both. Here we have an offertory that combines two of them written by a 20-year-old Léon Boellmann, which won him a major prize (QV), and a setting of a Parisian tune as a toccata by Charles Quef, who was organist at La Trinité between Guilmant and Messiaen.
