Let's take a look together at our Gen Y hitch reducer sleeve for three inch down to 2 1/2 inch. So folks, this adapter is gonna reduce your three inch by three inch hitch receiver down to a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch receiver. So then you could use a 2 1/2 inch ball mount, hitch mount accessory, and those kind of things. You simply slide it into the three by three hitch or onto the shank of your accessory. And then you'd slide the smaller 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 in this other end. • • And then everything here is a nice durable steel construction, has a zinc primer, and then a nice epoxy powder coat on top of all that. So it's super rust resistant, corrosion resistant, and you would need a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock that is sold separately to go through here, obviously, and hold your accessories in place. Now as far as some quick dimensions, again, it's three by three on the outside, 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 on the inside. And as far as a length overall, I got 5 1/2 inches long. Once again, three inches wide on the outside. • • And as far as the hitch pin hole center to the front side, I got 2 1/2 inches from the center of that hitch pin hole to the front. So the longer part would go inside the tube itself on your vehicle. Now if you're wondering that hitch pin hole is a 3/4 inch hole, that way when you're picking out a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock, you can get the right size.
