Thank you all for your kind comments, sorry this fix does not work for everyone. I will update this video if I find a proper fix • The function buttons (including the WiFi on/off switch) on my Toshiba Satellite laptop are no longer working. The only 'fix' I could find that would work was a to do a system restore but this does not seem to cure the problem any more. Occasionally the WiFi adapter would decide to switch itself off I would have no idea of how to switch it back on. I decided to try create a shortcut so I switch the WiFi adapter on off from the desktop or Taskbar. • To do this navigate to • C:\\Program Files\\TOSHIBA\\TBS create a shortcut from the 'TBSWireless' icon to the desktop. You can also 'Pin to Start Menu' or 'Pin to Taskbar'. • I have also created a shortcut for the touch pad on/off function button using 'TouchpadED'. • Also for mute on/off I used 'TBSSoundMute' 'Dimmer' for keyboard illumination on/off. • If you have a better fix please let me know. Thanks :) • Disclaimer: This video was created as a basic guide possible temporary repair, I am not responsible for any injury, loss or damage should you attempt this yourself. • © Mike Fairman 2013 • Link: http://support.toshiba.com/support/fa... • If you would like to buy me a drink or make a donation to my channel please click on the link below • https://www.paypal.me/MikeFairman • Thank you for your kindness generosity. • *Update after many years of the WiFi button not working it finally started to work again. I don't if it was because of an update or if I disturbed something when I replaced the keyboard fan. • 2021 I recently upgraded to a SSD hard drive which has greatly improved the performance speed of this laptop. The SSD I used was a Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD. The Samsung migration software did not work at all I used the Macrium Reflect free edition to clone my old hard drive as kindly suggested by racequad9 in the comments below. • • Using Macrium Reflect Free to Clone Windows to a Bootable M.2 SSD •    • UPDATE: Using Macrium Reflect Free to...
