The next most serious class is Tier II. • 2) Tier I offenses comprise certain non-violent sex crimes, such as open or gross lewdness and indecent exposure. Tier II offenses include certain crimes against children, such as child porn and sex trafficking. And Tier I offenders who later commit a felony Tier I offense get reclassified as Tier II offenders. • 3) Tier I offenders are not publicly searchable on the registry unless their victim was a child. Tier II offenders are publicly searchable. • 4) Tier I offenders must register with law enforcement once a year. Tier II offenders must register every 180 days. • 5) Tier I offenders must stay on the registry for 15 years, though they may be able to get off the registry 5 years early. Tier II offenders must remain on the registry for 25 years. • There are some similarities between Tier I and II offenders. Both must register with law enforcement within 48 hours of being released from prison or moving. Both must renew their driver’s license once a year. And failing to register as a Tier I or Tier II offender is a felony. • LAS VEGAS DEFENSE GROUP, L.L.C. • Our criminal defense attorneys at Las Vegas Defense Group, L.L.C., represent clients all throughout Nevada including Las Vegas, Henderson, Washoe County, Reno, Carson City, Laughlin, Mesquite, Bunkerville, Moapa, Nye County, Elko, Pahrump, Searchlight, Moapa Valley, Goodsprings, Boulder City, North Las Vegas, Beatty, and Tonopah. • Our offices are located in Las Vegas and Reno: • 2970 W.
