The group Les Difficiles de Petion Ville was established in 1966 by the maestro Henry Celestin and the guitarist Robert Martino in the city of Petion-Ville located not far to the south-east of the capital. Les Difficiles recorded their first album Cé La Vie in 1970, it will be the only one with Martino before he leaves the group to form a competing orchestra, Les Gypsies de Petion-Ville.
