Geocoding and heatmapping app demo. Allows user to upload customer master file, with customer id and location addresses, and a transaction data file that contains relevant transactions to customers by date, customer id, and relevant metric (could e.g. be revenue in case of sales, weight or boxes in case of shipping volumes, etc.). • Link to the app file: https://www.supplychaindataanalytics.... • This app can be deployed with shinyapps.io or with another hosting service. I can do that for you, if requirred. Please contact me for this. • The app converts customer addresses into geocoded location data with longitude and latitude coordinates, and aggregates transaction data by customer - eventually displayed as a heatmap on a map for spatial distribution analysis. • By default, this app uses free-to-use geocoding services. Sometimes the location cannot be geocoded successfully, which is due to service quality or rate limits (you can only geocode so-and-so many locations per day with the free geocoding services). For higher geocoding success rate and faster geocoding service responses a commercial geocoding service, such as provided by Google Maps, should be used. For this, contact me directly so that we can decide on the optimal service on your behalf. • This simple app is made available in my SCDA shop, for a small fee. Possible extensions and customizations can be developed on request and could comprise e.g.: • allowing user to select relevant clustering criteria, for different customer groups (could be read from the customer master file, or from the transaction data, or from another file) • distribution warehouse location decision and visualizatio (applying relevant mathematical models for optimal facility locations) • downloading geocoded data as a file for later use • planning milk-run routes for final delivery / last-mile delivery • transport cost simulations • etc.
