In this video, Dusty shows you how to run strides. Running strides is a fantastic way to become more efficient and comfortable at faster running paces. You can easily add strides onto the end of easy runs and long runs or you can even do them before hard runs or during your warm up before a race. • Things to remember about running strides: • 1. Find a flat and straight road, track or grass field to do strides on. • 2. Strides are only about 20-30 sec in length and are not meant to be an exhausting workout/interval. • 3. Run at about 95% of your max speed and DO NOT run at your max speed. • 4. Spend the first few seconds of each stride building into your 95% speed, hold that for 5-10 seconds and then slow back down. • 5. Recover should be 1 to 2 min or you can simply walk back to the point where you started your stride from. • You can find me here: • Website: http://dustyspillertriathlon.com • Instagram: / dustyspiller • Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/ShirtCabin • Strava: / strava
