A sweet slice-of-life film, Fanney Khan stars Anil Kapoor as a hard-on-his-luck aam aadmi who dreams big. A musician himself, he dreams of making his daughter a star. To this end, he kidnaps the reigning pop star played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with the help of his friend, essayed by Rajkummar Rao. • The film demands suspension of disbelief and ignoring rather massive plot holes, especially in the second half.
