Avalible‪@doublehelixdiscsports‬.com • DBL Helix Test Notes... The Plasma Octane is advertised as being a long distance hyzer flip driver. But I couldn't get it to dance like that for me. Instead the Plasma Octane proved to be a reliably overstable big rimmed driver that looks beautiful with its metallic sheen and complimenting swirls but lacked the graceful flight of comparable discs like the Wave that I was hoping to find. I think part of this might be due to the massive 13 speed rim that demands a bit more arm speed than I have to bring out the magic. Of course if I were able to get past my expectations I would enjoy the Plasma Octane as a consistent high speed trusty overstable driver that I could pull out for windy days or shots that need a hard fade.
