One of the most well known chasmosaurs is Triceratops • Large ceratopsian • Looked a lot like Triceratops, walked on four legs, had a short tail, had a large frill, two horns above its eyes and a nasal horn • Being a ceratopsian, also had a beak (rostrum) • One of the largest known ceratopsids • Estimated to be about 22.3 ft (6.8 m) long • Estimated to weigh 7.2 tons • Gregory Paul estimated in 2016 it to be 21.3 ft (6.5 m) long and weigh 4.9 tons • Similar in size to Triceratops • A large Triceratops estimated to weigh about 7 tons, though there are larger Triceratops (one estimated to weigh 7.8 tons) • Skull is incomplete, but is about 8.7 ft (2.65 m) long • Controversial genus • Named in 2011 by Nicholas Longrich • Type and only species is Titanoceratops ouranos • … • read more at https://iknowdino.com/Titanoceratops-... • • I Know Dino: The big dinosaur podcast.
