Today was a big day for me as I both washed and dried my hair. I was so excited to use the new shampoo bar from Trader Joe’s and share my thoughts with you. I did my full hair routine with the only caveat of swapping out my shampoo for the shampoo bar. • Pros: • $3.99 - low cost! • Overall my hair feels great, it feels very light and clean. I’ve been using the same @pureology shampoo for years so switching it up with the shampoo bar seemed to remove any buildup from using the same shampoo for so long. • It also helped removed the oils and dry shampoo that were in my hair. • It smells amazing. The peppermint and tea tree oil combo provide an aromatic experience and a cool tingle to your scalp. • No sulfates! Clean ingredients! • Eco-friendly packaging • Cons: • It took a minute for me to figure out how to use the bar. I wasn’t sure if I need to rub the bar all over my hair or lather it in my hands. I did a combination of both but because I have long hair it did take some time to get enough an ample soapy lather started. • Because it’s a bar soap that means it’s slippery. If you couple that with my clumsiness I definitely drop the bar twice. • Would I use it again? Yes! • Overall I think it is a great product to have and use every third or fourth shampooing. I would not recommend this as an everyday product primarily because of the amount of time it takes to lather and the slippery factor. It’s a great alternative for traveling as it can also couple as a bar of soap meaning all you would need is either a conditioner or a spray leave in conditioner. • Have you tried it? What are your thoughts? • #traderjoes #shampoobar
