We barely had time to build a primitive structure for protection, and we had close to zero time to collect firewood. • One of the goals with our off grid property is to not always resort to money. In a perfect world, we would have gathered a bunch of firewood in spring and summer, but guess what, the world isn't perfect so we have to make do with what we have! • While we don't THINK we will have to do much more burning this winter season, there is always that possibility we will get another cold snap, so we thought that we'd be better be safe instead of sorry.
