Welcome back to my channel. Today I am going to show you how you can make this beginner wall hanging in less than 15 minutes! The knots required for this wall hanging are lark’s head knot, square knot, gathering knot and you will need to know how to tie a 4 strand braid. If you are unfamiliar with these knots please see below: • 3 Must-Know Basic Macrame Knots: • 3 MUST-KNOW BASIC MACRAME KNOTS - Lar... • Gather Knot: • Macrame For Beginners - 28 Days of Kn... • 4 Strand Braid: • DIY Macrame Tutorial - 3-Strand 4-S... • Creates a wall hanging that is 11 inches wide, 23 inches long. • Material: • 3mm Single Strand Twisted Cotton String • Let’s get started. Cut 8 pieces of rope - each piece is 2m long. Attach to your dowel using Lark’s head knots as I’ve done here - leave 2 1/2 inches of space in between each set of knots. • Tie 4 square knots. Tie 3 more square knots in between your first row of square knots. The knots will sit approx. 1 1/2 inches down from your first row. Tie 2 more square knots. Tie 1 more square knot in the middle of your work. • Cut 18 pieces of rope - each piece is 1m long. Attach along your wall hanging - 3 pieces per section. • Cut 4 more pieces of rope - each piece is 2m long. Attach 2 pieces on the left side of your wall hanging using Lark’s Head knots. • Tie a 4 strand braid so that it is approximately 8 1/2 inches long. • Tie an overhand knot at the bottom of your braid for now so that it doesn’t come undone while you tie a braid on the other side of your work. • Attach the other 2 pieces of rope on the right side of your work and tie a 4 strand braid. • Untie the knot and bring both sides together using a gathering knot. • This is the fun part - add fringe, tassels, etc. wherever you see fit - I am going to add fringe at the top, middle and bottom of the braid. If you would like to do this too, cut 14 pieces of rope - each piece 1/2m long and attach each to your wall hanging using a Lark’s Head knot. • You can leave the fringe as is or brush it out - I will show you what it looks like brushed out. • And that's it! A wall hanging in less than 15 minutes. • Thanks so much for watching!
