The MT4 web platform allows you to trade Forex from any browser and operating system. A link to the platform can be found in your client portal, in the downloads section. • Access your account by inserting your account number, password, select demo or live server and choose MT4 or MT5 platform, depending on your account. These details were sent to you via email when the account was created. • Similarly to the MT4 desktop platform, the web platform consists of 3 main sections: Market Watch, Chart Window, and Terminal window. • The Market Watch window is positioned on the left side of the platform. By right-clicking in the window, and choosing Show all, you can view all the trading instruments we offer on the MT4 platform. • By right-clicking on each individual instrument, you can also open new orders, new charts, view the symbol specifications, and view the spreads. • If you right-click inside the chart window a dropdown menu will appear, where you can customize the interface panel. • You have options such as open new trades, change the type of the candles, change the timeframe, or select Properties, and modify the chart colors. • In the terminal window, select the Trade tab to view your open and pending orders. The history tab displays all your closed positions, and the journal tab shows all the activities your platform has performed so far. • At the top of your platform, you can see the main toolbar, where the most popular terminal actions are displayed, such as opening new orders, • change the chart type, zoom in, or zoom out on the chart, change the timeframe, and enable full screen. • Webtrader is available in various languages, which you can select by going to View Languages. • Go to Insert to add Indicators, lines, or other drawings on your charts. • Under Options, you can find the One-click trading which will open the panel on the chart. • Do not hesitate to get in touch with our support team should you have any questions on the web platform. • Expert Advisors or EAs are programs that run on the MT4 platform, used to monitor and trade financial markets using algorithms. You can code an EA yourself, or use an EA from a 3rd party website. • FP Markets does not recommend or offer any EAs for trading. • We highly encourage you to learn and understand all aspects of whatever Expert Advisor that you plan to use. • First, open the MT4 platform where you want to add the expert advisor. • Click on File on the top navigation menu, and then click on Open Data Folder. • Go to MQL4 and open the Experts folder. • Copy or drag and drop the EA file you wish to install. • Close this window and restart your MT4 platform. • The EA will be available in the Experts tab in the navigation menu on the left. • To activate the EA, drag and drop it on the chart, then open the Common tab and make sure Long and short positions are selected, then tick Allow live trading, allow DLL imports and external experts and click on OK • The next step is to make sure that some other relevant settings are set properly. • Go to Tools - Options - Expert Advisors and tick allow automated trading and Allow DLL imports. Click OK. • Make sure that your Autotrading button is enabled. • You should now see a smile on your chart. That means that your EA is successfully activated. • • About us: • FP Markets is an Australian regulated broker established in 2005.
