Any ideas what is wrong with it? Battery? Starter motor? • Mondeo MK4 Tournier, 9/2008, 129KW, 175bph, 146.000 km right now • REPAIRS: • 1) Battery was giving up, only 8.62V under stress (after repeated start it was less than 7V) .. IDS showed up this, normal stand-by voltage was 12.6V • replacement: Original Ford/Motorcraft 80Ah battery, P/N: 1682038 - 180€ • • starting Ford Mondeo MK4 after batter... • • 2) battery replaced, but problem not fixed! My starter motor has been send to refurbishment. There were several problems to fix due to low India's manufacturing quality . 4y old car starter should definitely not look like this! bravo FORD! • Altogether with re-installing 120€ • • starting Ford Mondeo MK4 after batter... • PROBLEM SOLVED • (in my case it was the combination of dying battery + next to dead starter motor). Replacing the battery and refurbishing the starter motor did the job ! • Radio code required after this operation! • • Other thoughts: • I've been told, during the problem solving, one Injector is almost gone. • Two other will be failing soon, just 1 is in green. • This are Bosh PIEZO C.Rail Injector and comes with P/N: 0445115025 • EDIT: 5/2019 - this was NOT true, I sold the car with almost 300.000 km and had NO problems with injectors. Still original ones, no repair needed after 300k
