For those who don't know, Kouhaku is a singing event hosted by NHK every New Year's Eve for 70+ years. Getting on it is a really big deal, especially for someone like Mafu who isn't backed by any major company (Johhny's or AKB's) and is relatively unknown outside of the internet since he rarely appears on mainstream media (if ever). Additionally, he will be singing Hated by Life Itself, which is even more impressive on NHK's end because it isn't exactly a happy song and means there might be more collaborative opportunities between Utaite and Vocaloid-P's in the future. So Mafumafu, please sing to your heart's content and dropkick the floodgates! • Big thanks to Dely and the Chinese fandom who provided the raw video and translations that I could double-check on!
