I think we created something pretty special together, and I'm really happy with how this turned out. • I've always loved this song and always loved Van Gogh's art, so when I learned that Shawn had some animating skills, I thought this would be the perfect project to let him do his thing. He really killed it, and I'm so grateful for the time he spent on this. • I had the privilege of going to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam last year, which was a thrill. Conspicuously (and sadly) absent from that collection is The Starry Night , which is in New York's Museum of Modern Art. I plan to pay that painting a visit this fall on my trip to New York (where I'll be performing with Jeff Hall on 9/29/17 http://www.brownpapertickets.com/even.... And while I can't bring the painting back to the Netherlands with me on the next trip, I can at least bring this song. :) • I'd also like to thank Don McLean for this beautiful song.
