This Processing art tutorial shows how to create a generative grid drawing of overlapping rectangles that change sizes and rotate in two for loops. The basic code of these drawings is already a couple of years old. I have developed it a little more and you can see drawings with a canvas at the end of the video. • In general, if one works with randomness, it is always important to control it, either through specific rules (behavior) or design guidelines. This video attempts to work with controlled randomness and uses mainly trigonometry functions with a for() loop, rectangles and rotate. • ---- • Chapters: • 0:00 Introduction • 0:15 Start coding of a grid of rectangles in a for() loop • 0:41 First generative grid • 1:25 Let's design the grid • 2:26 Adding responsive margins and padding • 2:59 Adding responsive sizes and strokeWeight • 3:22 Outro with examples • ---- • This tutorial art video is part of the series on How to draw with code :    • Processing art tutorials | Creative c...   • Tools: Made with code / Processing • Audio: Trancer by Gunnar Olsen (YouTube library) • ---- • LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to thedotisblack • SUPPORT thedotisblack • PATREON:   / thedotisblack   • YT MEMBER:    / @thedotisblack   • BUY PRINTS: https://society6.com/davidmrugala?cur... • SOCIAL MEDIA • Tumblr:   / www   • Instagram:   / thedotiswhite   • Facebook:   / thedotisblack   • Twitter:   / davidmrugala   • Ello: http://www.ello.co/thedotisblack • #drawing #processing #tutorial
