Last upload rounding up the series. In this video we face Lyon and Fomortiis in the game's final chapter, finishing the females only challenge runthrough. I take 1 turn in each of the final chapter's maps, resulting in a final turncount of 93 turns. This is a pretty good achievement - I compensated for the higher turn counts in the early chapters (where I lacked most importantly Seth but also Franz, Garcia and even Gilliam) by clearing the second half of the game as quickly as I could. • Final 1 is cleared in 1 turn (92 total). • So we need to warp a bosskilling unit to take on Lyon and this is always a problem, as Lyon has great defensive stats (75 HP/26 def) and even scarier offence (55 atk with Naglfar targeting res, 145 hit making it very hard to dodge); luckily, he's very easy to double and connect attacks on (5 AS due to how heavy Naglfar is), but good luck dealing damage to him even when doubling. • Failing to one-round KO Lyon results in having to counterkill the huge number of monster minions surrounding him, though those are noticeably meeker than Lyon himself alone. • Vanessa has 39 atk with Vidofnir, the best weapon she can get, so that's 13x2 damage she can deal to Lyon's 75 HP per round of combat. If she procs Pierce, she can 2HKO Lyon this way (78 dmg), but this hard to achieve even with a 17% chance of proccing Pierce. • The RNG goddess helps me out here as Vanessa is able to dodgetank the first Naglfar on turn 1 player phase (she attacks with the Killer Lance), and on the enemy phase of the same turn she procs Pierce AND a Killer Lance crit. For the record, this does 102 damage to Lyon, which is pretty overkill - even a 15 strength Wyvern Knight can OHKO Lyon with a Killer Lance piercecrit. Vanessa gains another level from slaying Lyon, which is good because we're about to face... • Final 2 cleared in 1 turn (93 total is the final turn count in this challenge). • Fomortiis. • Vanessa is actually OHKO'd by him as well, but Vidofnir's +5 defence boost helps her take one hit. • We face offensive and defensive problems yet again here. Vanessa deals 18x2 damage to the final boss, or 36/120, which is not nearly enough - luckily she dodges more easily here (though it doesn't really matter in this recording). • Besides Wyvern Knights, only Eirika has S-rank in a weapon type (swords), dealing 18 damage with Sieglinde. Not doubling, OHKO'd by Fomortiis. We also have Myrrh - 31 damage nuke, doubled AND OHKO'd (really bad). • The RNG goddess remains merciful to me and in the very first round of combat Vanessa procs a Pierce, reducing the boss to such low HP that finishing him off shouldn't be hard now. If I have Lute recover her HP with Physic (to full of course; what do you expect from capped 30 mag), Vanessa can weaken Fomortiis further and then Eirika can finish him off (she can reach the final boss from her fixed starting position). However, healing Vanessa isn't even necessary because she procs Pierce for her third attack anyway, KOing the final boss. • I also show my party's final stats at the end. As you can see, they're mostly not too impressive (besides Vanessa and Lute anyway) - yet sufficient to clear this run in low turns. • I show the turn counts at the end of the video but decided against including the credits with each characters's story/victories/battles because that would take 2/3rds of the video.
