Man Escapes from CHP Officers in Northern California

On May 12th, 2024, California Highway Patrol Officers pulled over a man for expired registration in Del Norte County California near the Oregon Border. The driver gave the Officers a false name trying to hide his identity. When the Officers went to arrest him for not being able to ID him, he ran from them, and a short foot pursuit ensued until the Officers caught him near the Lucky 7 Casino and arrested him. • Bryce Jackson Ownsbey was arrested and booked into the Del Norte County Jail on the following charges: • 11350(A) - Possession of Narcotic Controlled Substance • 14601.1(A) - Drive While License Suspended • 11364(A) - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • 30305(A)(1) - Possession Of Ammunition • 148A - Resist / Obstruct / Delay Peace Officer • 529(A)(3) - Falsely personate another in his/her private or official capacity 23152(F) - Drive While Under The Combined Influence Of Drugs And Alcohol • #police #cops #pursuit #chp
