iTeach is a set of six teaching and learning principles to guide early childhood educators in planning, designing and facilitating learning experiences for children. • ‘i’ stands for ‘integrated approach to learning’. Adopting an integrated approach to learning means planning learning experiences as a whole and in meaningful contexts. Early childhood educators can use themes, stories or projects to build on children’s interests and level of understanding. • MOE advocates the iTeach principles outlined in the Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Framework. The Framework is part of the NEL Curriculum, a comprehensive range of kindergarten curriculum resources developed by MOE to support early childhood educators in creating quality learning experiences for children four to six years of age.
