The Pin Oak Campground at Natchez Trace State Park provides electric, water, and sewer at every site! Sites are spacious with many being waterfront or water view. If you are a tent camper or prefer a more wooded setting, Cub Lake Campground Area provides electric/ water or primitive sites, but you must be 25' or less for the electric/ water sites or 20' or less for the primitive sites. That's not all though, there is the Wrangler Campground for equestrians and backpacking campsites along a 40-mile trail. You'll also find cabins, lodges, and waterfront villas here. • This massive park will require driving three, six, or more miles to visit the different areas. It is not far from Interstate 40 and any supplies that you might need, once you wind your way out of the park area. It is actually a state park and a state recreation area. There is a lot to do here besides camping. There are lakes for swimming and boating, hiking and horse trails, miles of roads for bike riding, and several picnic areas. If you're hungry, the Pin Oak Lodge has a restaurant. The park also puts on events, free and pain. We enjoyed Dutch oven cobbler and homemade ice cream in the evening and a morning pontoon boat cruise on Pin Oak Lake. • What we love about Natchez Trace State Park: • 1. Full hook-ups, of course! • 2. Scenic with woods, water, hills, and ravines • 3. Large, grassy sites, but open with little shade or privacy • 4. Lake views from many campsites • 5. Trails, not easily accessible from Pin Oak Campground though • 6. Variety of offered events • What we didn't love about Natchez Trace State Park: • Heads Up: Our Verizon and T-Mobile service was not stellar. There is no service in some areas of the park. • Natchez Trace State Park Website: https://tnstateparks.com/parks/natche... • We are moving on to our next park, a little dip down into Mississippi.
