TRUMP GUILTY • Donald Trump has just become the first United States president in history to be found guilty of committing a crime. So, what does this mean for the Presidential election later this year? There's been a big reaction to this history making decision. After a six week trial in New York, Donald Trump had been found guilty of falsifying business records on 34 counts, which in other words means, he deliberately put the wrong information on business documents to benefit himself multiple times. Trump's team paid to cover up some stories that would have made him look bad in the lead up to the election then hid those payments. The Former President wasn't happy about the result. But the people who brought the case against Donald Trump said he's been treated fairly by the court and the jury that made the decision. So, what now? The judge will decide on sentence next month and it may or may not involve some time in jail. But in any case Trump will still be allowed to run for president and a lot of supporters say they'll still vote for him. • MATILDAS VS CHINA • The Matildas are gearing up to face China in Adelaide tonight. More than 53,000 tickets have been sold for the first of two friendly matches the teams will play in the lead up to the Tillies heading to the Paris Olympics in July. And there's a lot on the line, with the last few spots on the Olympic team to be decided after game two in Sydney on Monday. • F1 GIRLS • Meet 12-year-old Lana from Brisbane who is speeding her way to become the first female Formula 1 champion after being hand-picked for a global driver development program. Remember the name, because 12-year Lana is chasing her dream. She's just 1 of 6 young women who've been chosen from around the world to be chosen for a driver development program called More than Equal which is designed to bridge the gender gap in motorsport. Just last week, Lana joined the More than Equal team in Austria for an action packed training camp! In motorsport, there aren't any rules stopping men and women from competing against each other. But it's not something that happens very often. But that's something Lana is hoping to change and she's confident that she's in pole position. • FIRST FEMALE 900 • First up in our Trio of firsts is 14-year-old skateboarder Arisa Trew who's just landed a 900 for the first time ever. The 900 is a trick where you have to spin 2 and a half times in the air, and Arisa's the first female athlete to do it. She even got a shout-out from Tony Hawk who famously landed the trick 25 years ago. • 1ST POTATO DAY • Now to the very first International Day Of Potato! Yes, the United Nations decided potatoes were kind of a big deal, and deserved to have their own day. Here in Peru, near where the potato is thought to come from originally there was a big celebration, complete with live music, a potato mascot, and of course, tons and tons of spuds. • AI CONVENTION • And finally to Switzerland where a huge AI Convention is taking place. You've got all the usual suspects, robot dogs, wearable tech, humanoid robots hooked up to Chat GPT. Even um, this one, which is just uncanny. This year's event's all about showing off how brains and machines can work together and other ways AI can be used for the good of mankind. • __________________________________________ • Subscribe https://www.youtube.com/behindthenews... • TikTok:   / behindthenewstv   • Facebook:   / abcbtn   • Instagram:   / behindthenews   • For the past 55 years, Behind the News has been helping to break down current issues and events for young people all around the world.
