Heights. • Binaural Mics: https://amzn.to/3QoZ1bc • Going from a Dolby Atmos layout to Auro-3D: • Using an AURO-3D Layout for Dolby Atm... • In this demonstration using binaural mics from Sonic Presence, I am comparing the sound from a native Dolby Atmos demo with Atmos decoding vs. using the same demo with Auro-3D up mixing. The speaker layout I have is for an Auro-3D setup using front and rear height speakers, but I find that it works well for Auro-3D, Atmos, and DTS-X content. • Playing Auro-3D content on my previous setup with ceiling-mounted speakers sounded good only with Atmos, but not very good with the Auro-3D up mixer. Keep in mind that the Auro-3D up mixer isn't utilizing my rear surrounds, whereas the Atmos one is.
