The Airbus A400M Atlas makes its large-scale, international exercise debut at Mobility Guardian. • The A400M was designed by Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space) as a tactical airlifter with strategic capabilities to replace older transport aircraft. The A400M is positioned, in terms of size, between the C-130 and the C-17; it can carry heavier loads than the C-130, while able to use rough landing strips. Along with the transport role, the A400M can perform aerial refueling and medical evacuation when fitted with appropriate equipment. It has a range of 4,000 miles and carries 116 passengers. • AiirSource Military covers events and missions from the United States Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. • Visit our channel for in-depth and extended coverage on military events and missions: / aiirsource • Subscribe and turn on the notification bell to stay updated: • http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c... • Help us translate this video's title description into more languages: • http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_p... • Credits: DoD | Traci Keller | AiirSource Military
