s04e36 • I was quoted prices up to $279.00 to replace the battery in my EPIRB. • That seemed awfully expensive for a battery, especially after I did some shopping around to see what I could get a brand-new unit for. I found I could get the same unit I had for less than the cost of replacing the battery. • A little bit more investigation and I found that I could upgrade my EPIRB to a GPS model for slightly more than getting my battery replaced. So that is what I did. By buying online from an authorised online seller with a large stock turnover I got one with the full 10-year battery life, unlike buying off the shop shelf where I have lost up to 8 months of battery life while it was waiting to be sold. • And a word of caution. There are some people around offering incredibly cheap battery replacements. The object of having an EPIRB is to save my life and the lives of those with me should the worst happen. Personally, I do not think it is worth saving a few dollars on dubious batteries. • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • Buy GME EPIRB with GPS online: • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • eBay seller: https://ebay.us/ugBrAk • eBay search: https://ebay.us/ey0YmH • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • Follow weFish-AU on: • ► FishTrax: https://fishtrax.we-fish.com.au • ► Facebook: https://fb.me/wefishAU • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
