Because of those comments I ruled out using galvanized duct work for a chimney pipe. Which was a shame really, since they're so easy to find and are so inexpensive. • Either way, I had it in my mind that I wasn't going to use galvanized pipe. So I started looking online for 3 black stove pipe. It simply doesn't exist in big box stores, and I didn't want to order any online since that defeats the spirit of the project. • I simply wouldn't give up though, and found info about how to remove the galvanization using muriatic acid or vinegar. Both ideas were intriguing, but I still wasn't satisfied.
