Out of only 5,220 models produced in ‘55, Jim's CAMEO is an excellent example. • This frame-off restoration started with a boxed and powder coated frame. They shaved the emblems, smoothed the firewall, and shot it with Hot Hues Crimson Red paint. The fiberglass bed has kiln dried oak covering a custom fuel tank, leaf springs, Max Air adjustable shocks and power drum brakes. The Mustang II front suspension has 1 tubular A-arms and Sensa-Trac shocks and power disk brakes. It's sitting on Intro Raider wheels with Nitto Tires. • • Under the hood, this ’55 Cameo has a paint matched small block 350 crate motor with aluminum heads, roller rockers, an Edelbrock 750 carburetor and intake manifold, and a front runner pulley system all chromed out. All of the hoses and wiring are hidden. As are the master cylinder and battery, which are mounted under the cab. The 2 1/2 coated steel exhaust system features Doug's shorty headers leading to Magnaflow mufflers with QTP Electric cutouts. It uses a Street Rod wiring harness, a Power Master starter and a Speedway Red fuel pump. A Spal 2500cfm electric fan cool it down. • Transferring the power to the ground is a paint matched 700R4 transmission, coupled with a Ford 9 rear end housing 3.73 gears. This 1955 Chevrolet Cameo interior has leather and quilted suede upholstery. Billet door and window handles, square weave carpet, chrome Ididit steering column and custom console add a touch of class.
