Salted Caramel Brownies Sundaebake

Salted Caramel Brownies • Recipe • 200g butter • 200g dark chocolate • 175g caramel • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt • 220g caramel • 200g golden caster sugar • 4 eggs • 130g plain flour • 50g cocoa • 1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a 20cm square cake tin. • 2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over a low heat. Remove from heat to cool slightly. • 3. In a small bowl mix together the 175g of caramel and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Set aside. • 4. In an electric mixer whisk together 220g of caramel, the golden caster sugar and eggs. After slowly whisk in the melted chocolate and butter, till well combined. Then fold through the flour and cocoa, till combined and smooth. • 5. Pour half the brownie mixture into the prepared cake tin and level with a spatula. • 6. Using half the caramel spoon small dollops of the caramel on top of the brownie mixture in a random pattern. • 7. Pour the rest of the brownie mixture on top. Then dollop on the remaining caramel on top. Using a skewer or knife, run the skewer through the caramel to make a feathered pattern on top. • 8. Bake the brownie for 25-30 minutes.
