United States of America. • • The old Swanee River idea of the cotton pickers looks like fading away - they've invented new mechanical pickers - M/S of men working in the cotton fields with a mechanical collecting machine. Closer shot of the men using the machine which has vacuum tubes which suck up the cotton as the men pick it. No more will the haunting melodies of the South float through the air - only the loud buzz and clatter of machines will be heard.
