Standing 145 feet tall, the Tybee Island Lighthouse is Georgia’s tallest and oldest lighthouse. Built in 1736, this historic beacon is open to the public year-round to climb, explore and learn the unique history of our island. Tybee’s Cockspur Lighthouse is part of the Fort Pulaski National Monument and is the smallest lighthouse in Georgia. No longer operational or open to the public, visitors can admire its beauty on kayaks or from surrounding trails. • To plan your next trip, visit https://visittybee.com/.
